Anyway, on this particular day, a woman calls the depot do say she has a puncture however she cannot bring the car in. Fortunately, the car is situated only a few hundred yards up the road. So my brother, Daniel, reluctantly drags a jack and the needed tools to the car in trouble.
The job is going nicely after five or so minutes, the tyre is off and Daniel and the woman seem to be having a little chat, when all of a sudden a seagull feather falls from the sky and lands at the feet of and old woman walking past.
The old woman picks the feather up and heads towards the woman saying “This feather is especially for you, it was dropped by an angel for a loved one that you miss”. All the while, my brother witnessing the entire event. Bearing in mind that the garage Daniel works in is like a stone’s throw away from the sea, in a place called Tynemouth. The woman keeps going on for a while about fate and spirits and eventually toddles off. And as soon as she gets to a safe distance, the bemused woman turns to Daniel and says “was she serious?”, Daniel shrugs and says “I think so!”Anyway, Daniel felt he still needed to charge the woman the full £17.50, seeing as though he had experienced all that after dragging a heavy jack then had to drag it back again. She wasn’t getting off that lightly.
