Christmas in Glasgow!

I had a mental time in Scotland "celebrating" what is supposed to be the most joyous time of year. Although, don't get me wrong, i had a great time, it just wasn't what i was expecting. Emma and I had a laugh and spent most of the time shopping and staying with her mother.

We took our dog, Moses, who was a nightmare throughout and i had to carry an unbelievable amount of stuff!

Also, on Christmas night something happened that i really didn't want to happen. I got really drunk and ended up having a panic attack which landed me in Glasgow general hospital. But i really dont want to talk about that...

...anyways, i'm still rehearsing for this god forsaken Panto which opens in 9 days and goes on till the 17th January. I can't wait till the 18th!

Happy holidays...

I hate early starts!

I am sitting here at my desk at work and i'm tired and cold. It is bitterly cold outside as the winter reaches (what i hope to be) a peak. I have been awake since 6.30. Good job i had a bong this morning just to help me through the first hour.

Oh yeah, I still haven't quit smoking yet. Not until after panto at least!

It's that time of year again!

Okay, so Christmas isn't my favourite time of year, but i've never understood how it could be anybody's favourite holiday. The whole thing is over-hyped, over-priced and over before you know it! But the thing I can't stand the most is the enforced jollity thrusted upon me. I am told that i am miserable at work because of my loathing for Christmas, but the only reasons they give me for liking it aren't reasons i want to hear; e.g "you get to spend time with your family!" or "it's a time to reflect". First of all, I spend time with my family all the year round, and they are just as miserable as I am, and second of all I am a constant thinker so having time to reflect doesn't have to fall into the time slot i've apparently been given to do my annual stock take. I do it all the time!

But now Chritmas is being watered down, people are forced to forget the religious element of it and focus on the generics. Christmas is a time for presents and drinking, not a time for celebration of the birth of some guy who according to some healed sick people and could walk on water.

Come to think of it, let Chritmas become more and more of a generic holiday and people will care less and less about it. Who knows, within the next few decades Christmas could be forgotted about all together! I can only hope...

Happy Holidays!

The trouble with Panto

I have decided that i will not do another pantomime after this one... it is the lowest form of entertainment and takes no effort whatsoever. The director is going on like it's the most important show in the town (it's an amateur theatre by the way) when about only 2000 people will see it if we're lucky over the space of ten days! Oh wait there's two matinees so it'll be around 2400 people. If the house is full to the brim EVERY NIGHT!

Last year panto lowered my dignity but this year is different. At least last year i had many parts and was pretty much a forgettable character. The biggest part i had was being a magician the popped out of a box a few times... let's not go into it. I mean just look at what it turned me into! What i'm trying to say is that this year I got a much bigger part with a lot more involvement in the panto itself. The show is Aladdin and i got the part of wishee washee (i know) which means i have to interact with the audience and become "lovable" which means i have to smile endlessly and make sure i have a couple of drinks before going on.

Anyways, stay tuned for the next installment of my attempt at getting famous!
I have a five year plan... i'm not worried. Yet!
Seriously.

Oops...

Last time i posted i said i was back... but then a few things happened that made it not possible... first of all I joined a local Theatre and have been doing productions with them (I have been in 5 plays so far and one panto, and i am rehearsing at the moment) . Also i met a girl, called Emma, who is the most amazing person i have ever met! I live with her now and i'm having the best time ever. She is from Glasgow, which i love, and she has the best accent in the world!

I have been writing a lot and rehearsing for the next panto, which is Aladdin. I play Wishee Washee!!

CRB 103 has been put on hold for a while since i don't have a PC anymore (my brother took it when he moved out) but as soon as i get one i'll be back on track to finishing the first series. I have also written a play which i hope to get on the stage soon...
