I have decided that i will not do another pantomime after this one... it is the lowest form of entertainment and takes no effort whatsoever. The director is going on like it's the most important show in the town (it's an amateur theatre by the way) when about only 2000 people will see it if we're lucky over the space of ten days! Oh wait there's two matinees so it'll be around 2400 people. If the house is full to the brim EVERY NIGHT!
Last year panto lowered my dignity but this year is different. At least last year i had many parts and was pretty much a forgettable character. The biggest part i had was being
a magician the popped out of a box a few times... let's not go into it. I mean just look at what it turned me into! What i'm trying to say is that this year I got a much bigger part with a lot more involvement in the panto itself. The show is Aladdin and i got the part of wishee washee (i know) which means i have to interact with the audience and become "lovable" which means i have to smile endlessly and make sure i have a couple of drinks before going on.
